Who are we…

Jason and Kathryn are passionate hikers, and we have done multi-day walks in Australia and overseas.

We understand how an unforgettable customer experience looks and feels, and what it takes to leave an experience wanting to tell everyone you know about it.

Jason Little is a passionate hiker and adventure tourism professional whose love for hiking was sparked by his first trek along the iconic Kokoda Track. With many years of living in regional NSWs, Jason’s deep connection to nature and the outdoors flourished into a career focused on promoting adventure tourism, walking experiences, and outdoor activities.

Throughout his career, Jason has worked across various aspects of the adventure tourism and walking industries, specialising in compliance, processes, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety for both participants and operators. With a focus on making outdoor experiences as enriching and safe as possible, Jason continues to inspire others to embrace the outdoors.

A firm believer that “the best hike I’ve done was the last one,” Jason thrives on pushing his limits with every track he conquers, constantly seeking new adventures and challenges in the natural world.

Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation, Certificate IV Training and Assessment, a Bachelor of Education, and Wilderness First Aid.

Kathryn Woods is a qualified Nutritionist and Building Biologist. She believes being outside in nature is at the forefront of having a healthy body and mind.  Spending many of her earlier years working long hours in tightly shut offices contributed to her chronic allergies and health issues, and one of the key things that improved her health was spending more time outdoors.

She is a passionate hiker and believes going on a multiday hike shouldn’t be about eating average food that will upset your belly, but rather an opportunity to invent delicious (and healthy) meals that leave you satisfied after a day’s walking.

Kathryn will be the main contact during your pre-walk journey, and she will be there to chat and answer any questions you have.  She will ensure that the guides head out on trips with delicious food that will sustain and satisfy you, and she will tailor meals for most dietary requirements.

“I believe doing a multi-day walk and camping can be the best medicine.  I love when I’m camping in nature I sleep better and more soundly every night as my body clock resets”

Nature

Being outside and connecting with nature is one of the best things we can do for our health and well-being. Being in such unique and spectacular environments is a privilege.

Connect Adventures aims to be at the forefront of sustainable and responsible tourism practices.  Minimal impact and Leave No Trace bushwalking practices allow walkers to enjoy their natural surroundings without causing environmental degradation.  It’s all about treading softly.

Showcasing, education and conservation of National Parks, the environment, and cultural heritage is of the utmost importance, and we consider it a privilege to operate in NSW’s unique wilderness environments.

We foster a community group spirit and fun and adventure on our walks.

Connect Adventures encourages guests to share their experiences and stay in touch after their trip, we value all feedback and endeavour to be constantly improving.

Our customer service philosophy is to offer a trusted and premium experience before, during and after the tour.  We offer personalised support and inclusivity, so each person feels equally supported in the outdoors.

The land we work and walk upon was never ceded and is the traditional land of the Widjabul Wiabal and Minjungbal people of the Bundjalung  Nation.

We are aware of and respect Indigenous people’s protected and sacred sites, areas and stories.

Connect Adventures respect Aboriginal culture which we will address with our guests through culturally appropriate and considered practices.  We will share general knowledge, and we embrace traditional owners to share their stories in their way.
