Where Adventure and Comfort Connect

Connect Adventures doesn’t simply take an existing trail and guide it from beginning to end. We create deeply immersive multi-day walking experiences – journeys through place that connect the landscapes we walk through with local communities and introduce guests to some of the region’s best food and drink makers and producers.

Our walks are all-inclusive with experienced local wilderness guides, daily gear transfers, camp set-up ready on arrival, spacious tents and very comfortable bedding.  Delicious meals are freshly prepared using local produce and featuring native ingredients (see more details about our food in the “walks summary” below).

On the Gidjuum Gulganyi Walk, that connection begins before the walking even starts, with coffee in a small hinterland town. On the first night, you enjoy local small-batch gin and an abundant platter of local produce. Celebrate our last night around the fire with new friends in the forest. The final morning, we transfer to the river and paddle to the mouth of the Brunswick River for a swim and Lunch at the iconic Brunswick Hotel.

Spectacular Rainforest and Serene Coastal River

We traverse the southeastern rim of this volcanic crater, visiting the the spectacular Minyon Falls and spending our last night by the campfire. We then transfer to the beautiful Brunswick River and continue our journey all the way to the coast – from the catchment of the river to its mouth…

Your professional guides will impart their knowledge of this truly amazing subtropical and warm temperate rainforest and its environmental and cultural heritage, while you are immersed in nature and pleasantly distracted by views of the impressive peak of Wollumbin and the lush Tweed Valley, and glimpses of the ocean where we will paddle to finish our journey.
