Where Adventure and Comfort Connect

Connect Adventures doesn’t simply take an existing trail and guide it from beginning to end. We create deeply immersive multi-day walking experiences – journeys through place that connect the landscapes we walk through with local communities and introduce guests to some of the region’s best food and drink makers and producers.

Our walks are all-inclusive with experienced local wilderness guides, daily gear transfers, camp set-up ready on arrival, spacious tents and very comfortable bedding.  Delicious meals are freshly prepared using local produce and featuring native ingredients (see more details about our food in the “walks summary” below).

On the Gibraltar–Washpool World Heritage Walk, the connection begins before the walking even starts, we’ll stop along the way at Jackadgery for a morning coffee and start to discover the region’s distinctive natural and cultural heritage. On the first night, you enjoy local small-batch gin and an abundant platter of local produce, we take time to appreciate the beauty of the Gondwana Rainforest.

Spectacular Rainforest

Dramatic and ever-changing natural environments as we cover 55 km through one of northern NSW’s most remarkable World Heritage landscapes, where rugged granite ridges, dry eucalypt forest, sub-alpine swamps and ancient rainforest come together.

Over four days, our small group follows the Gibraltar–Washpool World Heritage Walk through ever-changing country, with waterfalls, the endangered endemic waratah and the world’s largest tract of coachwood rainforest along the way.
